WWYD? Stupid flu

My best friends wedding dress fitting is tomorrow. One of the other bridesmaids who is going had the flu last week. My best friend successfully prevented us from having the same bridesmaid dress fitting last week and totally understands that I am terrified of L getting sick. Apparently she still has a lingering cough but doesn't seem contagious whatever that means. Would you guys still go to the appt and just be firm that the other bridesmaid can't hold or touch L? I might add that I will be taking him up there by subway, which really isn't the cleanest place ever but would be wearing him the whole time. Would you hurt your best friends feelings and not go? I don't want to be a paranoid freak but I'm a ftm and well, I'm a paranoid freak. No family here to watch L.

All things considered, I'd probably skip. If it was just one "ick factor" I'd do it. But tail end of flu plus gross subway? Too much for me. JMO though.

I tend to be very sentimental with that stuff so I would go.

But, can't SO watch Lo? Or do you have a trusted sitter your neighbors or friends use? What about one of your close neighbors? Just a thought.

But, I would go and tell the other friend not to touch baby and wear Lo the whole time. Also lots of hand washing. Any chance you could take a can instead?
