Who watches your lo when you are at work? If daycare do they have them on a nap schedule? What if they were not previously napping, does the caregiver let them cry since they have others to attend to?
We take him to daycare a few days a week. They do not have him on a schedule and they SAY they don't let him CIO. I've walked in they've been rocking him to sleep.
I haven't gone back yet, but lo's godmother will be watching him and on occasion I know he will cry, but he's not a big crier to begin with, and he set his own nap schedule weeks ago, and its essentially the same every day, so I don't expect she will ever have to let him cry that much.

Not so much a schedule as sleep, change, eat, change, play, sleep, repeat. My LO only naps about 30ish min at a time there. He sleeps better at home on weekends.
Yes, he sometimes crys for a couple minutes, but not to put himself to sleep. The ratio is 1:3 so sometimes the caregiver has to attend to a baby for a few minutes before getting to him, not a dealbreaker for me b/c he does the same at home with 2 other kids around.
LO is in a home daycare and there are only 3 other kids there during the day so he pretty much gets to nap and eat on demand. I'm sure there are times when he's left to cry for a few minutes while she finishes what's she's doing and I'm ok with that. It happens at home too. But that's really why we picked a home daycare. We wanted it to be like he's at home and not have him forced to follow someone else's schedule or wait his turn to have his needs tended to.
