Hi all,
This is my first time here and I wanted to introduce myself. My wife and I live in NYC and we're about to begin the adoption process. We know almost nothing, except that we're leaning towards domestic adoption through an agency. We're still very much in the research stage, but I'd love any advice on picking an agency and what to expect from there.
Any other same-sex couples here? or people in the greater NYC area?
Looking forward to learning about everyone's experiences!

There's an FAQ at the top of the board, if you haven't already checked it out. Good resources, including questions to ask as you look at agencies, etc. One good way to find out about them is to attend (virtual or in-person) info sessions.
We do have some NYers and some same-sex people here. You should see them shortly as they read your intro
TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
