pink eye

DH (8 months) and I had pink eye about 2 weeks ago.  I took him to the dr and he had an ear infection too, so he got antibiotics that treat both.  I was nervous about DD (2 1/2) getting the pink eye, so the dr gave me a prescription for DS, which I could use for DD in case she got it.

Now I appear to have pink eye again, my eye isn't gooey this time, but its red and irritated.  Does anyone know if I fill the prescription written for the baby, but ment for the 2 year old, can I use it?  Is kid's pink eye meds different from adults?

Re: pink eye

  • Adult"s medication is stronger and used more often.  You can't use the kid"s version.

  • If you are BF, you can use BM. Supposed to clear it up.
