We have picked out our Boy name Caden Gene. And our Girl name Tenley Paige. We want some opinions on the names we are thinking about other than family.
Both are incredibly trendy. I'm so sick of the -aden thing going around. It's boring and unoriginal. Tenley is a weird made up cutesy name. I don't like either. Sorry. Gene and Paige are nice.
I agree with other posters that all the Aiden, Caden, Brayden, Jayden, Hayden, etc., names are REALLY getting old. I like Gene as a mn because I'm assuming it has significance, which is great!
Tenley - let me try to describe this. I don't believe that names have to be super traditional, but certain names (like Tenley) just sound made-up. It just comes off as a trashy, teen-mom kind of name.
I love Paige! What about Paige as the first name?
Other suggestions you might like, that are still legitimate names:
Girls-
Piper
Kiley
Teagan
Lacey
Brynn
Bree
Ainsley
Annabelle
Boys -
Caleb
Kellen
Rhys (this is the more traditional spelling of Reese)

I really dislike them.

For me, I don't like the -aden names, and I think Gene Caden sounds better together. Gene is very refreshing and I love the call-back to Gene Kelly.
I also prefer Paige Tenley. Tenley for me makes me think of the tea - even though it's Tetley.
All of this, 100%.
