Hi Polar Bears!!

I just got back from my 1st monitoring appointment after 4 nights of stims and it went really well. Lots of follies and several measurable ones, I think I saw her measuring 5. I didn't ask the u/s tech the number today, but I plan to next time. I'll get the call later today with E2 #s and # of follies so I'll be sure to update here because I know you're all dying to hear! 

I should be starting Menopur tonight as well and dropping my Follistim dose - yippee - more shots!! I've been feeling just a little bloated - nothing too horrible, but I definitely feel something going on and my pants have gotten tighter too - ick.

GL to all the ladies in the 2WW, between ER and ET and with upcoming ERs or FETs - I'm rooting for you all!! And ((hugs)) to those who need them

QOTD: I'm totally POAS before beta, I know myself and I have a ton of wondfos - I'll probably test out the trigger too - ugh I'm a masochist and I don't know how I'll react if I get BFN after BFN, but I know I'll obsess over it either way. I will not be telling my DH though - he HATES when I over analyze pee sticks, so I won't tell him til beta day!

ETA: OMFG, I just got the call that I have 25 follies growing with 2 at 11mm and 4 at 10mm and the rest are smaller. My E2 is 925 after only 4 nights of stimming - WHAT THE HELL?!?! So I'm stopping the Follistim and just doing Menopur tonight and going in tomorrow for another monitoring appointment. Eeek - I'm really nervous about getting OHSS.

Still hanging out here in the 2ww!!  Today is 4dp3dt and I'm getting all sorts of lovely progesterone vs. pregnancy symptoms. I'm trying to stay away from Google as much as possible and keep busy with other things.

QOTD: POAS made my crazy....literally CRAZY!!!   I just can't put myself through that again. When you find yourself sitting on the bathroom floor surrounded by peed on Wondfos, you know you have a problem LOL. However, to soften the blow if its a BFN, I think I'm going to buy one FRER for Monday morning when I get back from beta. I'd take it beforehand but if its BFN, I might get too emotional and thats dangerous on the expressway

I am continuing on Estrace and started stims last night. I go in Friday for my first monitoring appointment. I am on 450 GonalF and added 75 Menopur this cycle. Lucky me didn't realize I didn't get all the Menopur with my first shot so I got to do 3 shots last night!

I just did ER yesterday. I'll admit I'm NOT feeling good today. I'm very sore and nervous for my fertility report this morning. I'm sure I'll test before beta (which will be on the 28th). I did a combo Lupron and HCG (only 2,500 IUs) trigger so I'll probably test on Friday to make sure the trigger is out then test next week hoping for an early BFP.

No huge update on me, continuing on estrogen patches I'm up to 4 every other day. I go in Thurs for my lining check and transfer on the 24th!

QOTD: I haven't decided if I'm going to poas. Most likely I will towards the end of the 2ww.

No explanation as we were expecting 12-15). Anyway, all 4 were mature, 3 fertilized. We pushed until 5 day transfer (wise?). We transferred 3 last Saturday. 1 blast (B-), 1 8 cell (c), 1 7 cell (c). My beta is next Thursday the 24th. Trying really hard to stay positive (we transferred a beautiful grade A blast last time and got a bfn)

qotd: I ordered my FRER already. I'm not a big POAS person, but I have found that the most stressful part of ivf for me is the waiting on the phone calls for results. So, as I did last time, I will POAS the morning before my beta. I'd much rather be with my DH in my own home when I find out than somewhere else.

I've been stimming for 8 days.  I had an u/s appointment on Monday and it looks like there are 6 follicles, which is good for me.  We're going to continue stimming through the week with ER this weekend!

In the 2ww beta is 1/20 not feeling too optimistic about this cycle. I had horrible cramping till today, now I just have some pulling pressure in my pelvis area. My nurse has been monitoring me for OHSS, I did have some fluid build up and my ovaries were very large. I feel bloated, but that's reallly the only symptom I've had.

QOTD: I did test out my trigger and after 8 days it was gone. I am going back and forth about weither I want to test or not at the end of the week. I do have a bunch of cheapies so I will more than likely test.

Hi All, This is my first IVF Cycle-I'm on Day 5 of stimming. Taking my 5th injection of 75 Menapur and 225 Folistim this evening. I had my first monitoring appointment yesteday and was a little disoppointed. I'm 28, so the RE thought I was responding slower than someone my age should. I had 8 follicles, 3 measuring 9-11mm, and 5 measuring 4-6mm. I think he was more disoppointed in size of the 5 more so than quantity. So we took my follistim dose from 150 to 225 and I did that last night. I'm a little worried I'm not getting all the meds in the needle. Everytime I load the needle and push up to get bubbles out and stuff, I always feel like I have 3-4 drips of meds come out and I don't know how to not have that happen. I use the Q-cap to help, but it's annoying, those little drips probably cost about 50 bucks a drip! lol..So i'm worried my response has been slow because I'm loosing a bit of meds each time..likely???.Any Advice???

So I have my 2nd monitoring appt tomorrow at 8:30am. Hoping to see a difference in size and maybe recruit a few more. More than likely I'll have to stim a few extra days my coordinator told me if things dont pick up.. ugh..

 

I'll probably POAS before beta...I'm not patient. lol Which is why my follicles are ticking me off right now! Go OVARIES GO!

Hey Polar Bears!

I hope you are all doing well and hanging in there, wherever you are in your cycle.

I just got back from b/w & u/s. I have 20 follicles, 16 on the left & 4 on the right (stupid lazy right ovary!). The tech said my follies were beautiful, and I have 9 measurable so far, all growing at the same pace. I'm hoping some more will wake up and get moving!

QOTD: I will most definitely NOT poas before beta. As much as the 2ww sucks, it makes me waaaay too anxious to think about getting myself to poas and having to look at it to find out. I debated a lot last time but couldn't get myself to do it. Then I got AF before beta, & it was nice to find out the news at home. But then I had a positive beta & ended up having a chemical. IF is such a mind %$&*! I will be waiting out the torture and have DH answer the dreaded phone call. Hopefully a very happy phone call this time!

Nothing new with me.  I'll be increasing my estrogen for the several days, lining check on Monday and likely POI starts on the 25th.  Just trucking along...

QOTD- Eh.  I don't know yet.  I poas with the fresh IVF at 4dp5dt and got my BFP+ and then I became a poas addict and obsessed over it and eventually watched the line disappear because of our chemical.  I'm going to try to wait until the day before beta and hopefully not any sooner...although I can't promise this.

Had blood & ultrasound yesterday and my estrogen level was good but my lining wasn't thick enough so I have to stay on the Estrace pills and go back for a repeat blood & ultrasound on Friday. So the soonest the FET could be is probably late next week.  Which is fine because the pills are no big deal at all, but I kind of wanted to get the show on the road already. I'm not looking forward to a couple of weeks of PIO shots nightly but I'm ready to just do it already.

 

Well, for IVF cycle last time I probably would have POAS if I had gotten that far but I got my period before I could do it...at which point it was pretty clear. This time, I'll probably try to wait. I'm not doing myself any favors mentally to POAS and get nothing but still feel hopeful and then get my period the next morning.

I just got home from my ER. They retrieved 7 eggs which was the best we were hoping for. i'm really anxious for my fert report tomorrow. I feel ok, a little sore but not too bad.

Hey Polar Bears,

I hope everyone is hanging in there this week.  I got the call to do my trigger tonight at 9pm. My retrieval is Thursday morning. She said my Estradiol was the highest its ever been (2012 - that is good for me!)  I had 4 nice looking follicles today, and I am keeping my fingers crossed for a 5th that is trailing behind.

It is hard to be too excited b/c these eggs are being frozen. But things are looking up. 

QOTW - To pee or not to pee?  I have little self control so I probably would, but I think I should try to wait for a beta. My first two IVFs I poas and got positives only to get a crappy beta number and end up with a CP.

At my last monitoring appointment, they added additional estrogen.  So in addition to the pills I take 3x per day, I am now on patches, too. 

QOTD: I POAS the last two times because I wanted to be home with DH no matter the results.  My beta is always on a Monday (while I am at work), so I will probably test either Saturday or Sunday.

Hello ladies!

The clinic called today to tell me they had to thaw my very last frostie, apparently the 1st they thawed didn't look any good... :-(

So now I have officially no frosties left and if this FET is a bust I'll have to do another fresh cycle. I'm feeling a bit calmer now but my state of mind is still a bit edgy. DH called because of some stuff related to our new appartment and I literally yelled at him on the phone... He obviously realized that it was IF talking and just tried to calm me down and tell me it will all be fine...

QOTD: I'm POAS all the way! I just have to know the result, even if it's BFN. BFNs don't throw me down very much unless it's 13dpo and it's still stark white. I usually hold until 8dpo and then POAS 3x/day. I POAS!

I'm continuing with the Lupron and Menogon shots in the AM/Lupron and Puregon shots in the PM.  Four shots a day and feel like I'm running out of room on my belly - the Menogon is making my flesh very angry and red.  I dread injecting it every morning but I try not to think and just DO IT. 

I have my second ultrasound tomorrow AM to see how I am responding.  I can do the shots 5 more days or so, right?  Riiiiiight...  

I have a bunch of Wondfos but I'll probably wait for the beta.  I don't want to get excited if I see two lines and find out that it's from the trigger shot.

I'm so sorry you feel like this cycle didn't work. I do know though that later onset OHSS is a good sign, so FX for you and I hope you feel better - push that Gatorade!!!! GL!!

Update:  Started Gonal F on Friday night!  I was so scared, but it's even easier than the Lupron!  Had my first follie check this morning.  I have a total of 25 of them, but so far they're all measuring under 10 mm.  I have another u/s and b/w on Thursday.  I'm really nervous, though, because I've had the flu over the past couple days and I'm afraid it's gonna linger and make us have to cancel this cycle. 

QOTW:  I haven't discussed this with DH yet, but as of right now I plan to POAS.

I agree that Follistim/Gonal F is easier than Lupron too! GL on Thursday!

I went back for another us today. I am on day 9 of stims and have 17 follicles and they range from 12-18. My biggest ones yesterday were 17s and it seemed like only one jumped up to 18 since then. RE didn't seem concerned but said he wanted me to up my dose from 225 follistim to 300 tonight along with my normal 20 hcg and cetrotide shot. So I am downing all the water I can hoping it will make them grow :-) I am so emotional right now and I was concerned about not having many eggs at retrieval and that things aren't going like they should but I am giving this to God and not going to stress it anymore. I go back tomorrow to see where they are at and go from there.

Thats ok!  Unless you're shooting out 75% of the medication its probably ok. I've been on 150iu of Menopur (so thats two powders and one liquid) and although I start with 1ml of the sodium chloride, my end result is usually around 3/4 ml.

My best advice to avoid the least amount of spillage is to pull back the stopper on the syringe slowly to draw out your constituted meds. Seems like the less amount of air in the syringe the more the bubbles get out of hand....leaving you with usually just one big one on top that just pushes air and little to no meds. Hope that works!

I'm pretty sure she said it was 274.  That seems weird that it's such a huge difference!  I have a lower dose of meds than normal, so maybe that's it, but it still seems like a big difference!

I'm still in the 2ww.  I officially have OHSS.  It's been really uncomfortable.  Symptoms include: nausea, vomiting, diahrrea, horrible bloating, trouble breathing and painful gas.  Today I had to get the fluid tapped because I was absolutely miserable.  The RE drained 1.5 liters of fluid!  I can breathe again, but she said that I will probably fill up again within a couple of days.  The silver lining here is that hcg hormone can make OHSS worse, so I am hoping that it means good things come Beta day.

QOTD: I like many of you, would rather find out the results either way at home with my husband, but he made me Promise not to POAS.  He wants to wait til Beta.

I agree that Follistim/Gonal F is easier than Lupron too! GL on Thursday! 

I'm pretty sure she said it was 274.  That seems weird that it's such a huge difference!  I have a lower dose of meds than normal, so maybe that's it, but it still seems like a big difference!

My E2 level is way too high for 4 days of stimming, yours is right in the normal range!!! GL on Thursday!

I went back for another us today. I am on day 9 of stims and have 17 follicles and they range from 12-18. My biggest ones yesterday were 17s and it seemed like only one jumped up to 18 since then. RE didn't seem concerned but said he wanted me to up my dose from 225 follistim to 300 tonight along with my normal 20 hcg and cetrotide shot. So I am downing all the water I can hoping it will make them grow :-) I am so emotional right now and I was concerned about not having many eggs at retrieval and that things aren't going like they should but I am giving this to God and not going to stress it anymore. I go back tomorrow to see where they are at and go from there.
