Smoothie

I have had nausea in the mornings (who hasn't?) and the only thing that seems to sound good lately is a smoothie. This morning I made one with bananas, milk, peanut butter, and spinach-it was so deilcious!! Anyone else have an easy, deliciouse smoothie recipe?

    But I saw smoothie and I LOVE smoothies :)

    I mix my vanilla whey protein, almond milk, strawberries or a banana and ice!

  • Have you ever tried kefir? It tastes like a pre-made smoothie, but it is a really healthy lactose-free, yogurt-like drink. One major plus is it is chock-full of pro-biotics, helps me with my constipation. You can find it in the cooler section of somewhere like whole foods, or where I live, the "health market" section of our local grocery store.

  • No worries.  The other post was called "Green Smoothies."  The poster was asking how to get more veggies.  Here is what I posted.  This is what we have for breakfast every day:

     I like to do a cup of frozen strawberries, a cup of frozen pineapple, two bananas, almond milk, a hand full or two of spinach (you can't taste the spinach at all), and one to two tablespoons of Vega Chai powder (it's a vegan powder made of veggies).  They also have other flavors and a non-flavor as well.  

     Sometimes I add peaches, mango, or blueberry.  Just finished it.

  • I don't have a smoothie recipe but my niece told me about a recipe for banana ice cream that I'm going to make tonight. All you do is slice up a few bananas and freeze them, then you mix in food processor until smooth, then you can add peanut butter, chocolate or whipped cream. I can't wait to make it! She found the recipe on Pinterest if you want the exact recipe.

  • Lets keep these coming! I love new smoothie ideas! My fave is also one with spinach. Otherwise I enjoy a good strawberry one with almond milk strawberries and honey!

    Yay! I always forget about trader joe's. The closest one to me is two hours away. Tip- make sure you get the flavored kind. Plain kind is gross like plain yogurt. :)

  • I love smoothies!

    My favorite lately is:

    Greek yogurt (mine is honey flavored)

    Banana

    Frozen berries (I use mixed berries- strawberry, raspberry, blueberry)

    Milk
