Does anybody use a website to track their daily calories, exercise, weight, etc? I've used fitday in the past, and may start doing that again... Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions!
Used to use MyFitnessPal; you can set goal amounts for the various nutrients which is useful for nursing moms who should intake more calcium. I was able to reduce the sodium intake goal since I was following the D.A.S.H. dietary approach the last time to control and bring down the bloodpressure. Has exercise database or you can hand enter the calories used from exercise; includes things like vaccuming, walking, bicycling, DTD even. They have extensive records of food products ... including those from Costco and Trader Joes which is handy. If you consistently eat the same meal, can save the meal and just reenter that meal. Can also enter recipes which makes tracking a lot easier. I think thry added a feature that allows your smart device with the app to take a photo of the barcode on the package as another entry method. Never used that feature though.
You can use their website, or one of their apps for mac or android devices and the info you enter transfers between them
I think MyFitnessPal added some sort of social tracking to help people encourage each other ... have not used that but if there is a group of people from here trying to do tracking and weightloss, could be a useful feature.
