Trouble TTC

Update on IUI#5 and Injectables

Awhile back I posted that my RE's office here in Japan did not do injectables. It was basically unmedicated IUI's, IUI with Clomid and then onto IVF. I was dreading going in today (CD4) and have him give me Clomid for our fifth and final IUI. It has always been 100mg and I never really responded to it (only one of my five cycles ever produced more than one follicle). Just like at the beginning of every cycle he asks how my period was this time he wasn't okay with the fact that AF this month is pretty much non existent. It usually starts off heavy for a day or two and then tapers off. This month it's been very light, basically just spotting.

He knows that my transit to and from his office (an hour on the train) is kind of lengthy but asked how often I could make it to his office this week which of course I told him it didn't matter at this point I am willing to do everything and anything he needs me to! Come to find out his office DOES injectables but under Japanese law he is not able to give them to a patient who is not a Japanese National to take home. Basically, I can do injectables but I need to come into his office so his staff can administer the shot. I am not able to take them home and do them myself. Which I am completely fine with no having to give myself shots! :)

I was soooo happy to hear that we would have the chance to do something different this cycle even if it means a little more inconvenience of making that trip a few more times this week. I got an injection today, 150mg of hMG (not sure what it commonly goes by...gonadotrophin?) and will go back for one on Thursday and Saturday and then in on Monday for an ultrasound to see what's there! What a difference a day makes, I'm so excited!

just wondering, why is your doc concerned with your period being short and heavy?

Sorry I may have wrote that wrong Sad My period lasts about 5 days usually heavy the first few days and then lightens up. However this cycle, it was sort of heavy at first (pretty much just the first few hours) but not my usual and then tapered off to barely spotting these last four days.
