I asked this question on 3rd Tri but everyone is just being mean.
My midwife mentioned saving my mucous plug if I can. She said there is
something similar to placenta encapsulation that can be done with the
plug. Has anyone done this or heard of it?

Is this a joke?
If it's not I apologize. I have never heard of this and to be honest it really skeeves me out. If your midwife is saying there is a benefit and you're okay with it then I don't think it would technically hurt anything. Personally if my midwife suggested it she had better have some damn good reasons...but even then...*shudder*
this...
you have 5 posts and you're asking a fairly ridiculous question IMO... it's kinda hard to take it seriously...
This gives me the disgusting visual of eating the mucus that comes out of my nose when I have a really horrible cold.
I just threw up in my mouth...
Is this real life??!
No... just, no.

Ok, I'm going to bite. Mostly because I'm bored. And also because I already did my snark on 3T.
The placenta is an organ with many blood vessels that has been supporting the life of your child. Your mucus plug is... mucus.
No, I would not save it.
Always Sunny's back b-tches!
Please no, just no....
I heard you should eat it on a cracker like a raw oyster.
Too much?
Hahaha! Oh my God I will never be able to eat an oyster again without thinking about this...therefore I will never again be able to eat an oyster!!! EWWWWW!!!!! Totally too much!!
There is nothing more disgusting than a mucus plug...mine came out just before transition all over my exercise ball and I FREAKED! So gross....
