Does anyone have experience with this pump? I had a cheap pump with DD and want to get a better one this time around. I know Medela is the popular brand, but I wanted to see what thoughts are on this one. Thanks!
I actually used the Medela Pump in Style with my first son, but experienced several issues - namely, a great deal of pain with the pulling and tugging at my breasts and nipples. I dreaded pumping and couldn't relax in anticipation of the pain. As a result, I had a tough time extracting enough milk.
With my second son, however, I decided to switch and tried the Dr. Brown's Simplisse Pump. I loved it! I couldn't believe how much more comfortable it was. Instead of tugging at the breast and nipples, this pump uses a soft, massaging technique to express milk. It's so much gentler and feels more like breastfeeding. Plus, I was able to express plenty of milk and had leftovers for storage.
I'm expecting my third son in six weeks and look forward to using the Dr. Brown's Simplisse Pump again.
