OMG more confused!!!

Okay so last cycle I took 2 pills femara cd 5-9 had us cd 18 showed one 12mm follicle went back for repeat scan showed nothing and thin lining. Doctor said to start 3 pills femara cd 22-26 and come back in two weeks for another scan. I started my period cd 28 and now 5 days later I still have it but it's clearly tapering off and no longer red. I went to the bathroom and I have EWCM which would be right according to the meds since my follicle scan is tomorrow to check progress. I did inform the doctor's office about my period and they said it was odd and I should not have gotten it. So now I'm at a loss... do we suck it up and maybe have a slightly gross encounter tonight or is it a total loss since I don't know if the lining is thick enough to even support baby OR my progesterone high enough since it has to be 4 or less to (usually 2) to start period but then has to be 12+ to support baby... So do we go for it? Wait until tomorrow? Or just know it's not going to happen???
