I give DS any of the stoneyfield Baby or toddler yogurts (there is no difference in consistency, ingredients or nutritional content), or Vanilla Greek Yogurt since I eat that too.

Personally, I avoid those marketed specifically for babies and toddlers. They are more expensive and often have added sugar. We just do organic full-fat plain or Greek yogurt. He likes either and I usually just mix some of his homemade purees into them (you could mix in jarred food too).

I agree with this. I feed my baby full fat Balkan yogurt, since my local stores do not sell Greek yogurt. I think it's important to pay attention to the ingredient list. If there's anything beyond milk ingredients and active bacterial cultures, it's a waste of time, IMO.
My pedi okay'd yogurt from 6 months, though with the advice to pay attention to LO's eczema. I had to quit milk for a few months early on while BF, but it seems to have cleared on it's own. It's one of LO's favorite foods, though messy because she spoon feeds herself!
