...is no joke.
Killian (born 12/11/12) was admitted to the hospital with a tempt of 102 Monday night and we didn't come home until Thursday afternoon. He kept spiking to 104+. They did every test from a flu swab to a spinal tap trying to rule out any major diseases. My little man took most of the tests and blood draws like a champ but was not a fan of the tube up the nose (flu swab).
I absolutely hated seeing my baby hurting like that and hooked up to all those tubes but the worst part was when his fever was spiking so high & often that they said I shouldn't hold him or feed directly from the breast because my body temp was actually making him worse =(
Happily, since we've been home there have been no temp spikes and he's feeding beautifully again... from the bottle this time. Mom's nipples learned that not having Mr. Chew-My-Food chomping at them every 2 - 3 hours was awesome and having Daddy be able to help with feedings was totally worth just pumping the breast milk into a bottle.

Our DS got it at 13 days old, and was admitted for four days. Definitely the worse thing ever.
