Baby Names

Second boy name (just for fun)

We aren't even actively ttc again yet, but I thought I would get some input anyway, just for fun! =)

Our first son is Joseph Scott, and we have only called him Joey so far.

We have the girl name set pretty much in stone (except for the spelling).

I really like religious boy names, but not any religious girl names.

The boy names I really like are (may I have your opinions, as well as any other name suggestions please? Also, if you have any middle name suggestions for any of them, they are welcome!):

Benjamin nn Ben

Lucas or Luke (DH sort of already ruled it out though)

Adam

Moses (very out there, it may be too out there to be in the sibset with Joseph)

Michael (I don't really like Mike as a nn though...)

ETA: Michael to the list and the part about the middle names.

Re: Second boy name (just for fun)

  • My favorite biblical boy name is Noah. I also like Matthew nn Matt. I like Abraham and Abel but I feel like you do about Moses..may be too out there but the nn Abe is so cute.

Oh I completely forgot Michael. Michael was actually on our list for Joey, but we didn't use it because my husband had a then-friend who was a huge sexist. We never talk to or see him anymore so it could easily be back on the list.

  • I like Benjamin.

I agree, Moses with a Joseph may be a little much.

  • My youngest is named Lucas (nickname Luke) so I'm partial to that one ;-). It's a family name for us, but I do love it. This baby would have been Noah if she was a boy.

I like Michael a lot, but your list is very good - although I would steer clear of Moses (strictly based on all of the negative comments Gwyneth Paltrow got when she used the name for her son). An alternative might be Morris - I have a friend whose son has that name and they call him Mo :).

We like definitive boys names for boys (no unisex for us) and we're also a fan of biblical names (but not for girls). Good luck when you decide to TTC!
