bfp...late ovulation?

i have been off birth control pills since july. me and my fiance planned to start TTC this month once my new cycle started, however, my period never came. i haven't been charting or temping, so i have no idea when i ovulate. we started unprotected sex on day 22 of my cycle. my cycles are usually 29-33 days long. today i took a total of 4 pregnancy tests and they were all positive! 

obviously since i'm pregnant, i ovulated late. i am worried about this because i have read online that late ovulation and pregnancy usually will result in a miscarriage. i am scared to be happy at this point because i fear no matter what, this pregnancy will end in a miscarriage. my question is, have any of you had successful pregnancy with late ovulation?

My oldest was conceived on cycle day 68. My youngest on cd54. Both perfect babies!

I am 5+ weeks with a late ovulation, around CD 33. I have heard the old egg thing too but actually my RE said late ovulation is a sign of good egg supply. Late ovulation doesn't mean miscarriage. I know it is hard not to stress because regardless, it is beyond your control. Congratulations!

I don't know what sites you are looking at, but I've never heard that, never had a doctor say anything about it and have not had a miscarriage.

I've never heard that before. I ovulate late (around the same time you probably did) and am still very pregnant! good luck, and don't let those things worry you. Miscarriage is usually caused by chromosomal defects which is random, not based on what time in your cycle you ovulate.

You may be referring to a luteal phase defect, but I don't know the effects of this on a pregnancy.

I ovulated on CD 28 and everything is perfect so far. I think you're thinking of people who have a short luteal phase.

My son was conceived on day 31 and with my current pregnancy I O'd on day 24. I wouldn't worry about it at all unless you have another known problem, like a too-short luteal phase.

I ovulated on CD62 and I am definitely

see i don't know if i have LPD. i never have charted, temped, or used opk's so i have no idea when i ovulate normally. but i understand that sometimes women can ovulate late in the cycle for no reason, so i am going to go with that is what happened with me.  i am going to try to remain positive! thanks.

I ovulated a week late when I got pregnant with this baby. I'm at 20 weeks and everything is fine.

Same here, for this one I was using an OPK just because I was curious if I was ovulating. I didnt see an increase in LH until CD 22 and we had unprotected sex then, I am 9 weeks and so far so good! I agree with PP I think whatever you read must have been referring to a short luteal phase and if you were not charting you would not know how long your LP was/is. If you weren't pregnanat you might have gotten your period later than normal, at least thats how my doctor explained it, but we are pregnanat so we will never know when we "might" have gotten our period. sorry hope that makes sense.
