DS Birth Story

Carson was born after 11.5 hours of labor at 12/27 in the afternoon, but I'm just getting time to get online. My water broke ~2am, shortly after we went to bed and we went to the hospital 4 hours later. I wasn't having any contractions until a couple hours after my water broke. 

We met our doula at the hospital and after 1 hour of them trying to get my hep-lock in I was finally able to go walk the hallways. I wasn't progressing and there was talk of possibly using pitocin, but first we tried nipple stimulation with their breast pump, more walking and some lunge type things. It worked and things started moving faster. 

I spent a lot of the time near transition in the jet tub in my room and also leaned over a bean bag, facing reverse, on my bed.  I was able to do a natural labor and birth, but did get 2nd degree perineal tearing. I'm a little hazy about the details in a 2 hour time frame before/after the birth and I'm wondering if anybody else that didn't use medicine had this?

I was "induced" technically only needed 2 hr of cervadil and the rest was natural I'm also very hazy about a lot of my labor and even a while after like I only have a vague memory of the whole thing and missed lots of things dh told me about later. I chalked it up to the rapid progress of labor and pain, it's probably normal lol

Congrats! I had a spontaneous labour, and mostly natural birth (used the gas during transition), second degree tear, and I have a fuzzy memory for an hour before pushing to 1h after birth. Also DH said I had a rough time and was screaming and trying to bite my hand, meanwhile immediately after delivery I said it wasn't that bad and that I'd do it again. I chalk it up to the endorphins and hormones
