They change so fast, what are they up to this week?
LO is getting a lot stronger and can walk farther while holding my hands. She's starting to learn to repeat actions not just words. Now she'll clap her hands when we say "clap clap", high-five when we say "gimme 5" and kiss when we say "kisses" (it's still an open mouth slober kiss, but we're working on it). Still no interest in crawling but this week she learned to move from sitting to all 4's on her own. At first one leg would always get stuck under her and she'd face plant but by the end of the week she had it figured out. It's so fun to watch them process these problems and solve them right before your eyes.

We're also dealing with the impatient whining! If I'm giving her solids she'll scream at me if the spoon is not RIGHT there or if she's having trouble picking up some of her finger foods. Even if I give it to her after the fact she'll continue to scream for a bit like she's making a point to punsh me for being slow lol. Diva.
The past week has been super-busy for DD! She added "mamama" to her vocabulary, although I still don't think she's attaching mama or dada to us, specifically.
She also finally figured out how to eat puffs and other small stuff. She was able to pick it up with the pincher grasp before, but now she can actually get it in her mouth on purpose, and figured out how to mash it up with her gums to eat it, instead of just spitting it back out. It's actually really cute, because she laughs and is clearly so proud of herself every time she does it now!
Just yesterday she started rolling directly from sitting position onto her tummy, instead of falling backwards to her back and then rolling over. I wish she would learn how to sit herself back up, but no luck on that yet.
She's getting really good at pushing herself backwards and turning circles on her tummy, but no crawling yet.
And, my least favorite new development, the infamous separation anxiety seems to have set in this week and now she cries every time I walk out of the room, even if she can still see me in the next room. I hope that passes soon.
We have slightly started to venture into the army crawl this past weekend. But he will only go about one foot, then get frustrated, and just sit there and smack the wood floors.
Still no teeth... and no signs either. Although I did buy the finger brush to start getting him used to it and used it for the first time last night... and OWW!!!!! he was chomping on it and that little kids got a bite! Whenever he wasn't chomping down on my finger he really enjoyed me massaging his gums, so yay!
Other than that, we are starting to say dad dad and mom mom a little more clearly, but when he says dad dad its when he is playing, and mom mom is only when he is crying and frustrated... oh well, gotta start somewhere!

He's also gotten very good at eating he had toast stripes, Cheerios, fish, chicken and strawberries this week and loved it all. He still gags if he gets too much but now clears it out with his toung and chews more before trying to swallow. It's very cool to watch
He is pulling up very well and beginning to cruise and move from couch to coffee table or other things.
He has been doing something like kissing and didn't think anything of it but seeing you all mention it I think he really is trying to kiss! He was doing it to his cousin on Saturday.
