We don't have cable and usually it doesn't suck we have Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix but I feel like I am all caught up on shows.nbsp; I am thinking about starting Parenthood from the start of the season, but I really just want some mindless drivel on in the background
I'm a tv junkie at night, I'm seriously considering getting rid of cable for a while though. However, it won't be happening while I have a new baby nursing 24/7 and a toddler to entertain while we are nursing. Maybe in the summer.

Parenthood is a great show. But I wouldn't call it mindless drivel. It can get pretty heavy at times, especially this season

Yeah, that's what is keeping me from starting it. But I do REALLY want to watch it eventually.

I'm a tv junkie at night, I'm seriously considering getting rid of cable for a whole though. However, it won't be happening while I have a new baby nursing 24/7 and a toddler to entertain while we are nursing. Maybe in the summer.
Interesting factoid about me (because I am conceited!) - I'm personally challenging myself to not watch TV for at least a month. So far so good, I don't even miss it. I may extend this all year. Unfortunately, the kids and I live with my parents and TV plays a huge, HUGE role in this house. So no matter how hard I fight it, DD1 is constantly finding ways to be in front of the boob tube. There's a good possibility that when we finally move out, I will not purchase a TV for our home.
I catch up on my favorite shows online, though, because it's easier to avoid getting sucked in by ads, other shows, etc. and because I can't give up the computer since I work remotely. What a horrible cheater I am
For your kiddo or for your super preggo self?
I've been taking a bunch of baths recently and it sucks getting out of the tub! I've been legitimately concerned about needing help getting out of the tub.
On a random side note, I never take baths because the bathtub in general grosses me out. Doesn't matter how well or recently it was cleaned, I just feel like bathtubs are full of germs or bacteria.

I can normally get around this by giving the tub a quick scrubdown with disinfectant, but my hangup is drains. I hate drains with the burning passion of a thousand white-hot desert suns. They can never be clean enough. They legitimately freak me out. I will do a special kind of [avoidance] dance in the shower if I realize I'm about to step on the drain.
This thread is hilarious! nbsp;Nice work Shanado et al. nbsp;It has successfully made me procrastinate doing dishes long enough to leave them until tomorrow. nbsp; Thanks!
My apologies, I forgot to give you a shout out. Holla pretty lady!

You know what, that totally sounded dirty. Like I was calling out a hooker. My apologies again. Hi.

Oh gosh yes! And don't even get me started on hotel showers... That reminds me, I need to pack flip flops for showering at the hospital to my baby bag.

Speaking of tv shows... Anyone watch The League on Fx? I do highly enjoy watching that show with my hubby.
I'm way behind on it, but what I have seen has cracked me up. So inappropriate, lol.
shanado:
Dh just came back with a tent for her. It's
complete horseshiit! Garbage I tell you!! We will stick with our blanket
forts.
Are either of you crafty at all? Pinterest has a plethora of super easy tutorials for constructing A-frames out of dowels, and then you just toss a blanket over it and secure. Voila! A tent! Made of a blanket!
I know I want to do this soon for DDs because I hate the way the blankets of our forts always fall down, no matter how much I try to secure them.
1. Not sure how long I'll be here, but wanted to play!
2. Week.from.H-E-DoubleHockeyStick. It has included a kid who has been sick for 2 weeks straight (first croup, then ear infection), calling 911 for my stepmom and spending time with her in the hospital, driving over 200 miles more than I normally drive, annnd an expensive car maintenance bill. My house is a disaster because I just can't function anymore. Blah. (stepmom is going to be fine.)
3. DH won an amazing trip to Cancun in May for being awesome at his job. All-expenses paid trip to an All-inclusive resort! Yesssss!
4. My BFF asked me to be her maid of honor for her wedding in June last night. She gave me a ring pop in a box with a cute little poem about finding a man, getting a ring, and needing a maid of honor. It was adorable and made me cry lol. We go dress shopping next Saturday!
5. I will watch American Idol this year. I will complain about the entire show, but I will watch anyways.

Between 6-7:30am. Usually closer to 6:30 though.

WTH, cheap or just lame?? Guess you should just stick with good old fashion fort making.

Agreed, if you like always sunny you should like the league. Does your DH play fantasy football, cause that would probably make a difference?
