FYI, you might want to check into whether your local community participates in Smart911 and create a profile if they do.
I live in the Denver burbs and my city started doing it just this past year. You can create a profile for each family member with age, picture, known health issues/disabilities, and include details (like allergies, or describe their ability to communicate or not, etc.). You can put dogs/pets on there, too, so that first responders know they're in there, say, in case of fire.
It's nice knowing that if we did have an emergency or someone got lost and 911 was called, in addition to whatever else I could provide police on the spot, they already have the ability to access pics of both my kids, the knowledge that DD1 is on the spectrum and a basic overview on communicating with her.
If your community doesn't have it yet, maybe a call or letter to get them to consider it would push things along. I really think it's a potentially great resource.
