I'm looking into a new carrier for baby and would love some recommendations.
I currently have a Maya Wrap and a Mei Tai, but I don't feel comfortable using either of them with a newborn. I'd like something that is a bit more secure feeling because I'll be wearing this LO a ton more then I did DD, around the house, doing housework, on pretty much every outing... and DD will be 19 months old, so I'll be trying to wrangle her while baby wearing. I want something that will hold LO snug to me, where I can move easily.
I was originally thinking an Moby or Boba wrap (I heard the boba is slightly better) but am worried about it being too hot because LO will be a June baby.
I'd also been checking out the Beco's and Ergo's, because (with the insert) I could use either of them for both DD and LO#2... but I'm short, 5'0" and am worried it will over take me and I've heard that they are just as hot as a wrap (if you are using the infant insert).
So that leaves me thinking maybe I should just take the plunge and splurge on a didymos woven? That's the one that's decently airy right? And can be used in many different types of wears?
Any opinions, advice, answer... would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

I have the Infantino brand one, I wasn't planning to use it because the straps are a bit hefty and cut into me and I remember DD not liking it when I originally got it, back when she was 3 or 4 months old. Plus the fabric is very heavy, and absolutely not breathable.... is there another brand you'd recommend? I'd love something that has more flexibility in the fabric and is more breathable and light weight.
Okay, that's what I heard (about the Ergo's)... they'd be good for DH (he's 6') but just looked to overwhelming for me.
I'm more on the slender side, pre-pregnancy 110-114lbs or so and 5'0".
I just wanted to say thank you for your awesome guide in your siggy! I wouldn't say I am 100% in the attachment parenting bucket, but I like the concept of babywearing and your link got me even more excited about it!
I liked the Moby when LO was young. The Ergo isn't great for newborns. The infant insert is bulky and hot and a PITA. LO just got to the size where I can use the Ergo without the insert and it's wonderful.
The Moby can be hot, but I loved the way it snuggled LO on me when he was tiny.
