SO I don't really know DS's shoe size...

Its hard for me to tell where his toes are at inside his shoes and it seems like he wears anything from 8,5-10 depending on the brand. Anyone know how to measure them correctly at home or should I go into a store and have someone do it with the metal measurer thing?

  • I personally just go to Stride Rite, but I know that different brands run different. Stride Rite is very good though

  • When DD started walking, I took her to Nordstrom to get her feet measured.  They did a really good job and gave me a paper foot measuring chart so I can measure her feet at home.

the sales people at stride rite were awesome at getting DS to stand still and got a good measurement

  • Just go in and have the shoe measured.  Nordstrom, Macys, and Stride Rite all measure shoe size.

Plus they know their merchandise, so they will know what shoes run small and which ones run big so they will send you home with the correct size.

  • Payless also has the tool to measure size, and Kohls has a mat with shoe prints for each size. You just have DC step on the print.

  • Stride Rite has a paper one online that you can print off.  It measures width too.  Depending on the brand of shoe, they all run a little different though.  It has weird numbers on it that you have to imput onto their measuring thing on the website and they will tell you the shoe and width sizes.  Payless can measure for you too.

  • I take my son to Foot Locker and they measure his feet, I like to get his Nike's there because Nike's are nice and wide.
  • There is a foot chart on carters.com that you can print and measure your child's foot too.
