LO eyes

What color are they?

Did they change?

If so, when?

Do you think they are done changing now?

I thought LO eyes were set by a year, but I recently read somewhere that someone's LO eyes changed at two and that they can change up to 5 years old? Anyone know if this is true?

What color are they?  DS eyes are interesting. I would say they are blue hazel? The outer rim is blue and the center is amber. The whole eye color is muted by a gray overtone.

Did they change?  Yes. They were like navy blue when he was born.

If so, when?  The first change was at 3 months. He got one brown stripe at "11 o'clock" in his left eye. It stayed like that for months (and the stripe is still there). The change to the color now was very gradual over the last 3 months or so.

Do you think they are done changing now?  I hope so because they are pretty cool looking! Plus I like that they have hung onto a little bit of blue (my eye color- DH is green/amber hazel) and are a mix of DH & I.

    What color are they? Blue

Did they change? Not really. They were a dark blue as a newborn, but now they are a lighter blue.

    If so, when? N/A

Do you think they are done changing now? I think so, but they might get lighter. DH and I both have lighter blue eyes and hers are a shade different than ours. But that could be inherited from a grandparent and they may never be our shade.

Annas eyes were dark blue when she was born. They changed petty quickly to hazel. I hope they're done changing because they're so pretty! If anything they'll most likely change to brown like me. I've heard they can change up to 2 years old.

I always heard they were done changing by 1. JBs were dark blue for a while, then around 5 months they turned to hazel, and have slowly changed into a light/ medium brown. I'm pretty sure they are done changing at this point.

What color are they?  Bright blue

Did they change?  Not really.  They have always been blue, though maybe a little darker when she was born.

    If so, when?  n/a

Do you think they are done changing now?  I hope so!  They've given no indication that they are going to change.  I really hope she has blue eyes like her daddy.

Since my LO has two different colored eyes, we have been seen by an ophthalmologist twice to rule out any other issues. According to her, babies' eyes will typically turn dark by about 6 months, if they are going to turn darker. If they haven't, they likely won't. That doesn't mean they can't change at all, and it doesn't mean the color shade is perfectly set by then, but the general color is usually there by six months.

Not sure how true this is; just passing along the advice  I was given.

Ian's eyes are blue. They've lightened up some and aren't quite as grey as they were when he was born. I have heard of them changing as old as 2, but not as old as 5.

Her eyes are super blue and always have been. Some days they're a little darker blue but it depends on her outfit. I don't see them changing.

Laney's eyes were gray when she was born. They changed to very dark brown when she was a couple of moths old. They are so dark it's hard to see her pupils.

Do you think they are done changing?  Yes, they are exactly the same color as mine.  It's eerie sometimes! :)

L's are brown now. When she was born, they were a dark, slate grey. They changed sometime around 6 months, but it was very gradual. I think they're probably done now, she had an 87%+ chance of being a brown-eyed girl, and I think she's succumbed to that likelihood.

His eyes are blue, I think they are going to stay blue because they are lightening up a little and blue eyes run on both sides of our families.
