I'm looking for a boy first name to pair with Adam as a middle name. Sounds easy, but there is a BIG catch. Our last name begins with G, so I don't really want the initials to "spell" anything. That eliminates a lot of letters (B, F, G, H, etc.). You get the picture. I guess initials BAG or RAG would be better than some of the others though.
I would change the middle name, but DH had an older (very beloved and the only other male with the same last name in this generation) cousin (Adam) who died in his twenties from complications related to lymphoma. DH is now the only male to "pass down" the last name and we would like to honor Adam's memory.
I have a small list, but I'm not sure I'm in love with any of the names
Marcus Adam
Oliver Adam
Patrick Adam,
Tobias (Toby) Adam
BTW we are not pregnant yet, just hoping it will happen soon. I have had this feeling for some time that I will have a boy, but obviously that may or may not happen. Girl names will be much easier for us to find, especially because we have more flexibility with the middle name!
Re: Boy first name with Adam as middle name...
I think the family legacy makes Adam a great choice for mn.
Jonathan Adam - JAG, not too bad.
Charles, or another C name? -- CAG, nothing worrisome there.
Probably want to stay away from F names.
Michael, Martin -- MAG
Oliver is nice
T names would work. I like Tobias, but not the nn Toby
Zachary Adam? ZAG isn't too bad.
F is a definite no...G and H are not the best either, lol.
Zachary is DH's nephew, so that one wouldn't work. Tobias is probably my least favorite of those names and I usually don't like nicknames at all, but Toby is okay. I'm very attached to the name Oliver...I just think its so cute.
Michael is DH, and I'm not sure about having two Michaels in the house!
C would work, I was having a hard time finding any I liked! I have to look at more J names. DH will not go for Jonathan bc its BILs name and he can't stand him! Jacob is another nephew so that one is out.
