Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm 37 and my husband is 33. We got married in October 2010, and have been TTC for four months with ovulation testing strips. I'm at that weird place where all of my friends are either done having kids or not ready to start trying, and I look forward to connecting with women who are going through the same thing I am.
Has anyone used any fertility testing kits? I just ordered the one from First Response and got the SpermCheck one for my husband. They have good reviews on Amazon, but I'm wondering how accurate they really are.
Re: Another newbie saying hi
Hi! I'm new too and in a simular situation. I do have a few friends that are a year or so younger than me that are trying for another kid, but since they already have one (or 3) than they know there's no problem!
i knot my husband is good to go as he has 3 boys. i didnt know there was a do it yourself fertility tests. ive been thinking about getting a test done. but part of me knows i'll be devistated to know that answer yet.. i don't know.
I'm kind of scared to know, too (and I know my husband is terrified), but I figure once we know, we can have a plan instead of just waiting. Patience is not a virtue I have in abundance.
Good to know that your husband is good to go though, so you're halfway there. Good luck, and I look forward to commiserating (or hopefully, celebrating) with you!

Welcome to the group...I have found that those OPK's had helped me start to pinpoint my fertility window. Just do the best you can for now, but in 6 months, if no success, call a Registered Endocrinologist for help. Good Luck.
