IUI #5 = bust

Ugh, I'm just feeling so defeated! Hubby's sample was over 20million with 50% motility and I had two decent eggs (16 and 17). Do you think we could be triggering too early? we were at 16 and 17 the night of trigger. I know, I'm grasping at thin air here.

It just sucks. Last night I acted like "that evil IF person" when I came home to a Christmas card of my BILs gf's kids. I'm so tired of hearing about how my in laws love having the kids around. BIL goes through gfs like crazy, and this chick is still married. He knows of our issues and it's like he's trying to one up hubby (he's kind of jealous). I just wanna punch him.

    Ugh, I'm sorry IUI #5 didn't work. Triggering with a 16 and a 17 does sound early to me, normally they like to see a least a 18 before triggering. 

    And that totally sucks about your BIL - ugh, people can just be such jerks.

     That's what I thought too! I think I'll mention it at the baseline appt today. Thanks asil. I've been following you on the IF board, I hope your next cycle is it for you (and no cysts!)

    HUGS!  I'm sorry #5 didn't work!  I'd definitely asked about waiting to trigger until a little later if you do another IUI...

    DH: 38, Low Morph & DE
    Rx: Metformin 500mg

    Cycle #1: Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel = No Response, Canceled
    Cycle #2: Clomid 150mg + Ovidrel = No Response, Canceled
    Cycle #3: Clomid 150mg + Follistim + Ovidrel = No response, Canceled

    Cycle #4: Femara 7.5mg + Gonal-f + Ovidrel + IUI = BFP!!!!

    What are your thoughts now, another IUI attempt, moving on, taking break?

    Me: 32, DH: 34.
    Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.
    2 IUIs = BFN.
    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.
    FET, 2 frosties (June 13, 2014)

    14dp5dt-June 27 -BFP, beta 2061. 2nd beta >5000, 3rd beta >5000, 2 sacs 06/30.
    Twin Girls - 02/11/15 - at 37 weeks (no NICU, home with me at 3 days).

    :::hugs::: I'm so sorry. You may be triggering to early, my RE also likes to see 18mm or more before triggering.

    So sorry to hear IUI#5 was a bust.  16 and 17 Doesn't sound too early but maybe just a tad if you were worried.  I don't see a harm in letting them go another day or two.  Did they do e2 draws then to know they had at least a 400 or more level then?

    Well we have 50% IUI coverage and zero IVF coverage... So we'll do another 3 mix IUIs at least. But that'll be six cycles of clomid so then we'll have to talk to doc and see what they think. We're going to see how hubby's SA turns out end of Feb though and we'll hopefully know more.

    Ugh, no they don't do e2 draws. Its Kaiser and they really seem to do things differently. For instance, they don't monitor on clomid cycles, they just do opks. Mix cycles they do an u/s but no blood draws. when I go in today to ask about follicle size I'm mentioning the e2 testing. They say that they try to save their patients money by not running tests that they feel aren't backed by research, but honestly, sometimes it feels like I'm constantly arguing with them to run tests that I feel should be a given (I.e progesterone testing after ovulation). I already figure I'm their pain in the butt patient, so I have no problem asking them to run e2 levels now. Thanks kati!

    Ugh, I'm sorry!  The follicles keep growing even after the trigger so those were probably mature at the time of IUI. On the smaller side though.

     I just POAS at 12dpiui and it was a BFN so I think IUI3 is a big fail. I feel for you.

    Aghh I am soo sorry IUI #5 was a bust!  I just had a fail on IUI#5 also and it  blows!  What are your plans from here!? I am trying to figure that out.

    Really sorry to hear that.  To answer your question, my RE will not trigger until the measure the lead follicle at 18.  Good luck next cycle.

    *10/2010Tried 1 cycle of clomid 50mg with no results

    *12/2010 On break due to needing a new OB and money reasons

    5/5/12 Underwent exploratory surgery and had tubes blown out- no issues found

    5/5/12 DH had SA and numbers look great

    7/2102 50mg dose of clomid with ovulation and timed sex no results

    8/12 Clomid cylce #3- no success

    8/30 Went to see RE and we have decided to move onto IUI attempts

    10/18 IUI#1 BFN and cyst developed so on hold

    11/17 IUI cycle #2 BFN
    IUI #3,4,5,6 =BFN

    First round of IVF- 2 fresh transfered Beta=20, 37 than ended in M/C- Will do frozen transfer in Sept!

    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3
