This check in is for Friday, January 11, 2013.
Hi ladies! Hope you all had a great week!
No BFP announcements this week.
This is a check in for those of us that are TTC #2 or more and that have had one or more losses. A few board members thought it would be nice to connect with other 2IF ladies who have had losses since it's nice to have the support and friendship of others going through similar experiences.
Check in is every Friday. Please note it may not be until afternoon or evening but I am planning to keep it going every Friday!
New members:
Welcome laurid 75 & jennaqueena!
Any others interested in joining, please post an introduction that includes your TTC history and your current status and I will add you to the list.

Please post your updates, links to your chart and/or blog, information about any upcoming appointments, requests for thoughts & prayers, anything you want to share about your other children, upcoming loss related anniversaries, and virtually anything 2IF TTCAL related. If you get a BFP please share with us along with your EDD.
There will also be a question of the week as a GTKY.
laurid75 - Welcome! Thanks for sharing your history. I hope all the fibroids are gone now. Just saw that you had your CD 3 baseline bloodwork done and picked up the Clomid! Hoping for the best for you!
egsquared - How are things going with IVF #1? I hope everything went well yesterday and today!
jennaqueena - Welcome!
Sure! I've never done a check in
before, but am enjoying it! I have a
hard time keeping up with ones I have tried to participate in regularly, but if
I have the role of running it and since it's on my day off from work, hopefully
I'll be able to keep it up okay. So glad
you're joining in
Good luck with IVF
#2 - will be looking forward to your updates!
SigmundsGirl - I'm so glad the break was good for you
Any luck with AF showing? Hope she shows soon so you can move on to IUI
#1!
KKDRAGONFLY - I'm sorry the traveling interfered with TTC. But I'm glad that you have some referrals for your new home state. I am also focusing on weight loss while in the waiting game right now. How is it going for you? Any strategies that are working for you that I can try? Have you looked into MyFitnessPal? I've been using that for a while and if you look into it and want to sign up let me know and we can be friends on there. I've connected with some other ladies and I'm finding it a big help to have a support system.
iloveshanej - How's everything going with you? Saw your post about your dropping temps
I'm so sorry you're going through
this frustration. I read one poster in
your thread though mention about mouth breathing. I know for me whenever I have sinus issues
and breathe through my mouth it's completely thrown things out of whack. I thought about starting to temp vaginally if
that continues to happen. I hope that you
are making some headway with it!
Lauren79 - I am so, so sorry you for all you are going through. The last post I'm seeing from you is from two days ago, so I apologize if I'm missing something. But I think you were going back today for another blood draw? I also read about your lines getting darker and your confusion about that. I hope that the blood draw today helps to give you more answers. Did you have your appointment with your RE on Tuesday? You have been in my thoughts frequently and I am just hoping for the best possible outcome.
efhoping2010 - How's it going this week? I'm sorry to hear about DH not wanting to talk about IVF/ICSI right now. This whole experience of infertility and loss is such a difficult road. I hope that he will reconsider discussing it with you soon and you can come up with a way forward that works for both of you.
ttcmbbaby & DahliaFlower - We missed you last week!
ttcmbbaby - Saw your thread from yesterday. I think I'm missing a few pieces of the puzzle regarding what's going on with you. But how are you feeling today? Sounds like a really frustrating circumstance - it's so hard when talking with medical professionals and getting the answer "I've never heard of that happening before." Ugh. I'm so sorry and hope that your appointment on the 15th goes well and that you get the answers you need.
QOTW: When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
As always, if anyone has any suggestions to make the check in better, please PM me!

Re: *~*~*2IF TTCAL Weekly Check In*~*~*
egsquared - How are things going with IVF #1? I hope everything went well yesterday and today!
I guess everything is going ok. I had my baseline yesterday and got the all clear to start stims tonight. I'm kind of worried that they only saw 8 follicles on the baseline u/s (see my post below), so we'll see what happens.
QOTW: I am picturing DH and I laughing our heads off in the living room at something DD said, but for the life of me, I can not remember what it was! It'll come to me when I'm going to bed tonight (or something like that!).
I still am not sure about my temps. If they quickly and a lot over the next couple days that means ovulation is today or tomorrow. If it's today we aren't going to have a chance. If it's tomorrow then we do. It sucks!
QOTW: Last Friday night watching Without A Paddle!

AFM...
Mainly just waiting for CD 1 to come along. I've had various cramping and PMS like symptoms but no flow yet. A tiny bit of spotting earlier in the week but nothing that I would have called CD1. So I don't know what to make of that other than I know that the first cycle post loss can be funky. I'm just hoping it's not funky too much longer because I want to get CD 1 so I can start the testing!
Also, two days from now will be one of my EDDs. It's really the first anniversary that's hitting me a little hard as it's approaching. I'm glad it will fall on a Sunday. Not sure what I will do, if anything, to mark the occasion. But it's just something obviously weighing on my mind and my heart this week.
QOTW: It takes A LOT to make me laugh that hard. But I hope this is a good question for everyone.
I am really not going to be able to do a good job of describing this. But I'll try. We were sitting at the dinner table and I was trying to get DS to eat his dinner (a nightly battle of epic proportions). So when he took a bite, I did this REALLY exaggerated "YAY!!!!!" and threw my hands up in the air and made this really silly face and basically just tried to do this over the top kind of positive reaction so he would keep taking bites.
So a few minutes later he takes a bite, throws his hands up in the air and basically mimics what I was doing. And I know you had to be there, but it was just so hilarious both MH and I were cracking up laughing with tears in our eyes.
Sometimes it's hard for me to keep my mind on appreciating the wonderful moments I get to have with my son when I'm so wrapped up in trying to have a sibling for him. But that was just one of those moments I hope I always remember and appreciate.

Thanks!!!
I think everyone knows my update, you covered it! CD3 testing today, Clomid starting Sunday and u/s sched for next Satuday!
A couple nights ago chatting with DS about how my mom sometimes comes to see us when we're visiting my ILs (We live out of state from both families and they only live 3 hours apart from each other). He said "Yes, she came when Andrew had his graduation. Maybe she will come again when he has career?" The way he said it just cracked me up - he meant when his cousin graduates college and I guess "gets a career." he has been playing the game of Life a lot and the career is a big part of the game, I literally laughed so hard I cried! Probably had to be there....:)
Thank you. I had a blood draw this morning and am waiting on the results. I can't think straight. I meet with my RE this coming Tuesday to discuss what's next.
QOTW: I laugh a lot but I can't remember the last time I cried while laughing.

Yes sorry about the break... But I'm a teacher and we had two full weeks off for Christmas and I refuse to log in when I'm at home because my husband doesn't believe in sharing our business to the world... However, I don't think there's a more supportive or understanding group and I learn so much from y'all so I do this just at work when he cannot monitor...
Yes you probably are missing a few pieces so I'll back up and go through it from the beginning... December 14th I started my first period since my mc and started letrozole 2 pills cd 5-9 which is what I got pregnant from in October. Had my ultrasound December 31st (cd 18) to check follicle size to possibly trigger. Ultrasound showed one 12mm follicle on the right side so he said wait and come back on Friday to check on the little follicle. I went back January 4 (cd 22) and it showed zero follicles above 5mm. However, there was zero fluid showing ovulation (and I had zero o pains either). My lining was also thinner than he wanted to see. So he said do to lack of progress to go ahead and start taking 3 pills of letrozole starting that Friday the 4th (cd 22) for 5 days. He said there was no medical reason to wait for another period and that taking the meds would stop the period from coming. Since my cycles have become 35+ days I was relieved to not have to "wait it out" and to get started again instantly. My appointment for January 15th was to check follicle size and possibly trigger. However, just finishing the 3 pills of letrozole on Tuesday and starting full flow af on Thursday means that even if it's great o time it will not implant nor we will be likely to bd... so I'm hoping they do testing or have answers by Tuesday's appointment.... Best of luck to us all!!!
The last time I laughed so hard I cried... Not sure... The last time I cried for real - Yesterday!!!
TTC #2 since 2009 Have PCOS two close calls with letrozole and hcg trigger. Hoping 3rd time does the trick...
Qotw: I have no idea when the last time I cried laughing so hard. Laughter of any kind seems so far and few between these days. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer! Feeling very blah.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, I am having a very tough week. I am trying to be hopeful and have decided I will look forward to IVF #3 starting at the end of March into April. No it is not planned nor even discussed but having some hope and filling out the form the clinic gave me at the followup to IVF #2 is helping me a little.
Kimber- I had to have D & C surgery after IVF #2 was a nonviable pregnancy, feel free to PM me if you want to chat about it. I am so sorry you are going through this.
QOTW: When one of my little one's looked outside and said "Snow all gone Mama"
Thanks guys.
Efhoping: I may be sending you a message, unless I start this process naturally over the weekend. I'm sorry you are having a tough week too.
Update : this cycle is nothing as DH is traveling.
QOTW : I can't remember. I do recall a really funny big bang theory episode.

QOTW: Sad to say I can't remember. I do have a horrible memory tho! I know I have had a few good laughs recently tho! Trying to keep my spirits up even though jan 9th was our twins birthday. Honestly, I tend to think more about them through the holidays and I felt extremely guilty that I didn't remember on the actual day. I remembered late lest night and almost wanted to wake my DH up for a hug. But I didnt. Anyway, I am telling myself it is better to dwell on the living and DS and DH.
Wow didnt know I was going to go there.

Oh my precious Kimber. You are allowed to be yourself here and don't have to put on a happy face for us. I hope your body starts to respond on its own soon, I always find the waiting and limbo is the worst. I can't help but look forward as that is how I cope and I will be here to cheer you on for your FET. Whenever that happens.

Yay! I'd like to have a cycle buddy! And I read a ton of the posts on here when you all were going through IVF last month, and you all seemed to know so much. I feel like I only know just enough to get by so far.
