Baby bump?

I am about 30lb overweight and while my stomach isn't huge, it's not flat. Is anyone in this position? I want to know when you saw your bump start to show. I'm 13 weeks and I'm less and less able to suck anything in. My jeans still fit well but I'm just aching to see a bump and the only mothers I know we're so slim and showed around 16 weeks. I'm nervous I won't show until 20..

Re: Baby bump?

  • I feel your pain. I am also 13 weeks and I just look fat. Idk when I will show either but yeah I have pretty much prepared myself to not show til about 20 weeks.

  • Women who have a narrow hips tend to look more like a pregnant woman earlier than women who have curves. This is because women with narrow hips tend to gain weight in their stomachs and boobs and women who have curves tend to gain weight in their hips and thighs. But most women, narrow hips or curves, go though a stage where you just look fat. It was pretty depressing for me with my first one. I sat in my room and cried infront of my husband while he sat there and kinda giggled at me for being "silly". You just have to remember that as long as you are keeping that little baby healthy then you really shouldnt worry about what you look like. Once your uterus is the size of your abdomen your tummy will be hard and round. when you are 13 weeks or 16 weeks your uterus isnt even the length from you pelvis to your belly button. And remember too that some women carry their babies length wise while other carry theres out in front and some women even carry their babies from side to side. Every woman and every pregnancy is different so try not to compare yourself with other pregnant ladies. Just enjoy yours while it lasts or some of the good sides of even being pregnant.
  • I am 5'7 and was 135 PP. I didn't start showing until 18/19 weeks. I sort of miss knowing I was pregnant and nobody else knowing. I get so much attention now and it can be annoying at times. Especially when I'm at the gym.
