What are your thoughts about the name? Yes, unfortunately it was suggested by DH because of his love for Kobe Bryant, but other than that, what do you think about the name?

Kobe was on our list too. Love the name, but I hate that the one and only thing you think of is Kobe Bryant. I really don't have a problem with him I just wish that wasn't what everyone thought of. But it is a really cute name :

Cute name, but the Kobe spelling makes me think of kobe beef.

I'm not a huge fan but I would go with the Coby spelling. I would never name my child after a rapist.

Just because your husband is a fan of some celebrity/sports star.. that doesn't make it a wise choice for a child's name. That kind of rationale is good for naming a pet, not a kid.

Coby seems very juvenile. Kobe Bryant may be a good ball player, but no way would I name my kid after a man with such questionable morals <cough cough--rapist/cheater>

I let my DH pick my son's middle name and he picked Kobe. He loved how it flowed with the rest of his name. The name was not picked because of Kobe Bryant.

Kobe is really bad. It's beef...or a rapist. Tell your husband to try again.
