Of you, were any of you told that you had a small pelvis when you had your c-section? If so, did you have a successful VBAC, or did you end up having a repeat c-section? TIA!
BFP #1= DD, We've been TTC DC #2 since 8/11. BFP #2 on 4/18/12, BO confirmed on 5/21/12, natural mc 0n 6/1/12. BFP #3 on 10/11/12....
Yes. I had a c/s after pushing for 2 hours with my daughter. My doctor told me my pelvis was too small and I would never deliver vaginally unless I had a preemie.
I switched doctors and had a fast VBAC (although I did have to push for 3 hours, but it really wasn't that bad). My second baby was actually a little bit bigger than my first baby. So much for my pelvis being too small!
Do you know if your first baby was in a strange position like sunny side up (aka OP position)? That can make it seem like your pelvis is too small when in fact positioning may be the real issue.

There's no way for a doctor to tell if a particular baby will fit through a particular pelvis. Both adapt during the process to allow the baby to pass. Your pelvis might be smaller than that of other Moms, but it doesn't mean your next baby won't fit. Good Luck!

I was told I had a small pelvis with DD (7 lbs, 1oz). But I went on to VBAC twice with much larger babies (DS1 8 lbs, 2oz; DS2 8 lbs, 6oz). Birth stories are linked in my siggy.

Hi there! I was told after having my son that I had a small pelvis and he was large for me (7lbs 10oz), and sunny-side-up but went on to have a VBAC with my daughter (she was smaller, 6lbs 4oz) I had no complications and the VBAC was just about everything I had hoped for. Going for VBAC #2, 7 weeks preggo and due Sept 2, 2013. Good luck!
After a difficult delivery with my first and a c-section for failure to progress with the second, I was told that I probably had a small pelvis. With my third child I still opted to VBAC. I had no trouble pushing her out, and she was a pound larger than her sister.
I just had a VBAC last night! I was told my pelvis was fine but there was another bone that was inverted somehow and I wouldn't be able to do it - by several docs and one midwife. However, I still went into labor before my scheduled c-section, and the doc knew I really wanted to try. She was very patient, through the baby's heart rate dropping and then not really moving while pushing, but after almost 2 hrs of really pushing, I did it. It is possible!
