in August 2013 Moms
My best friend is 2 weeks ahead of me so we are constantly texting and comparing. One thing we majorly differ in is our bathroom breaks. She is constantly constipated and I am quite the opposite. She is 12 weeks and I am 10 but she and many other women have this problem throughout their first trimester. Am I the only one who has almost too easy of a time if you know what I mean?

    For some reason, talk of constipation doesn't seem like "TMI" to me...

    Now, if you were to start posting pictures of bloody CM, I might have a problem!

    Im pretty sure there are several women on here with the same problem as you. I went "too"much last pregnancy. This pregnancy it goes back and forth but really not a problem either way for me...

    it's not constipation that is TMI, it's quite the opposite. And yes, that is just gross to me! But seriously, am I the only one?

    No I actually have diarrhea a lot. I don't mind not being constipated though.

    completely stopped up.  I am sure the zofran and high progesterone levels aren't helping- i think they slow down the digestion even more.

    Up until I started taking meds for nausea/vomiting I was as regular as always. A few days of Zofran backed me way up and I couldn't poop for over a week despite fiber pills and prunes! Unfortunately Zofran didn't work. At least if it had maybe the constipation would have been worth it. I'm still not completely back to normal but I think it has a lot to do with my diet. Being nauseous all the time doesn't really make a fiber rich diet possible. :(

    It's not any more normal to be constipated during pregnancy than it is to have no troubles or even a little diarrhea. Everyone will be different.


    [spoiler] My Blog: Grow Baby Grow

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]
