Things are really good. Overwhelming, but good. This is my first week back at work and today is Super Conference Call Thursday so I have been sitting on a phone all day with about 60 other folks. Which means- I have had a ton of time to be here. Wee.
But being a Dad is the coolest thing ever. I was laying on the couch watching the football game Monday and the baby was sleeping against my chest. I couldn't help but think I don't want her to grow up! Lol.
My wife is doing awesome- I am sure she will pop in here at some point. But I have been really proud of the way she has handled adjusting to a newborn. We are starting to figure out our routine. We are just really fortunate and thankful that we have a pretty easy baby. We think. She def is not a horror story we warned of! lol
My wife has also been very awesome in letting me get some solid sleep at night so I will be good to go for work. Last couple nights I have been staying up past my curfew to 12-12:30 to hang out with them lol, but- we are figuring it out.
I can't wait until the weekend when I don't have to come to work and be away from the kid! My family is really awesome and I love being there.
I would say the most important thing I have tried to keep in mind is that attention and care still must be given to my wife and I's relationship. I truly think I missed her a little more than I missed the baby yesterday and I told her so. I think it is important to work on our relationship so that we can tackle being new parents together and be as happy as we can be. And I like to think that it will pour over into our relationship with Evelyn.
I truly honestly can't complain. Things have really fallen in place for us with our new jobs in the last year, a healthy happy baby, our relationship being pretty awesome, etc. I know things can come crashing down fast so I am riding the high as long as I can.

I ove your update! I also love how you say your marriage is important and you missed your wife. Me and hubby try to make sure we always show our love and that will keep our kids feeling secure as a family unit. Glad things are going great!!
