So I recently posted about skinny jeans. I found a pair that's a dark wash at kohls. Now I need to know what to wear with them... What kind of top and shoes? Anyone care to share pics and/or links? I'm trying to work on transitioning myself to clothes that fit better and look more put together. I'm usually a jeans and tshirt girl and don't want to sway too much from that but it's time to look better while maintaining as much comfort as possible. Tia
Dark jeans are great because they really can be dressed up or made more casual. I think material of a shirt makes a difference of the "look" you are giving.
Something comfy like this i think is totally adorable:
Heels with skinny jeans is adorbs, boots or flats etc. Really you can do so much. Also i love satin flowy shirts that are tailored but still more loose and "big" with a fitted tank underneath. Or fitted tank with a cute sweater and scarf and boots. You really can do so much.

I agree with PP. Dark wash especially are very versitile. I like the balanced look of the loose, flowy tops with skinny jeans. However more fitted shirts look good for a more dressy look to. You can't really go wrong with shoes except for chunky sneakers maybe wouldn't work.
When I wear my skinny jeans (I was late to that party, too, btw), I stick to flats and boots. You can do heels, too, but I don't really go there much lately.
I have a pair of dark wash skinnies (and actually, depending on the size of my paycheck next week, I may splurge on a new pair - Nordstrom has a pair of 7 for all mankind on sale for just over $100 and they are high rise skinnies).
Anyway...I wear tall boots with mine...with either a heel (not sky high heels though, I like to be able to walk without torturing my feet) or flat boots. I don't currently own any flats worthy of my jeans (I have some DSW rewards burning a hole in my pocket though) but I would go with whatever is going to go with the rest of the outfit, or a fun print or bright color. Of course I will also wear one of my pairs of chucks with them...depending on the top (either a sweater that likely covers my non-existent butt, a sweatshirt, jersey, tee...pretty much anything...so okay, I am not always the most fashion-conscious and right now my skinnies and boot-cut skinnies are the only jeans that actually fit me right now).
