Less sleep after potty training

We've been potty training for about 2 weeks now and ds is doing quite well.  He cold hold pee-pee, tell us when he needs to go, and any accidents he has are because we can't get to the potty fast enough.  He's still in a diaper overnight and during naps (usually the nap diaper is dry).  I don't know if it's potty training causing him difficulty sleeping or not but for the past week it takes him much longer to go to sleep and he's up earlier.  Anyone have this experience? Or do you think these are separate, unrelated issues?

Re: Less sleep after potty training

  • Does he need to go potty when he wakes up in the morning? My daughter did not wear a pull up or similar overnight but did start waking up earlier because she had to pee. Her sleep changed quite a bit after PT, I didn't expect it but maybe should have.
