Adoption update

So after a very hard week already, the caseworker decided to go with someone else. They weren't happy about another stay at home foster mom watching the baby during the day because of transitions and there was no way that I could get a nanny background checked in enough time.  In foster care they have strict rules about using lincenced day cares or having only people who are background checked through their agencies care for the child. What really didn't make sense to me was that I found a nanny who had a complete background check completed through a nanny agency and that wouldn't work because it wasn't their background check. I'm really sad about it but I know that they are working hard to find another good home. Thank you all again for your great words of wisdom......I appreciated it all. I wish the best for you all in the new year and give lots of extra prayers for healthy babies especially during this rough flu season.

I'm so sorry it didn't work out. You are an amazing person for adoption and being willing to adopt a preemie! I hope the baby finds a loving home soon!

How disappointing. I'm sorry. I agree with PPs, you are incredible for opening your heart and home to these babies and children. I hope the right LO finds his or her way to your home soon!
