Hi everyone,
I introduced myself on TTTC a little bit ago because I actually did not realize this board existed. A bit about me...
DH and I have been trying to conceive number 2 since June. After one crazy cycle I went to the doctor and after some blood work to the RE. I may have jumped the gun but I felt something was wrong... since my world has been turned upside down. My FSH is all over the place from normal to high - 5 to 14 depending on the month. My AMH was a horrid .25 and my antral follicle count was 4. On top of it, my thyroid was all sorts of screwed up from a virus/fever I had for two weeks in November.
I cannot believe that this is my life - we had no difficulty conceiving dd1 - at least none that I know of - we got lucky on month 5 so I am not sure if there was any issue.
We did a femera cycle this month and I go in on Friday for an ultrasound - after that I will likely go straight to IVF - given my numbers. I started acupuncture this week (always wanted to but this finally convinced me to call).
I am trying not to stress but it is hard. I am trying to search success stories, but it is so easy to find negative things. we are leaving on a cruise with dd and my in laws on sunday - I am excited to get away, but annoyed it may completely ruin any chance for an iui if I ovulate after saturday
anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to this group. if anyone has any of these issues, I would love to hear from you.

Re: intro - low amh issues
Enjoy your trip!! Hope the timing is right an you O before you leave.
good luck to you tomorrow. I am just learning about it and I am sure at my doc appointment on Friday I will learn more about my IVF options. What protocol are you trying?
Yeah, I conceived DD when I was 32 and now I am 34 - was shocked I had to deal with it.

Have a great cruise!
Graduate from 2IF but still lurk & cheer you all on...my AMH was 0.48 back in April 2011...typically only had 9 follies on both sides total...definitely made me feel like my body was falling a part...conceived dd on cycle #3 with no known issues at age 34...did want to chime in that I did the estrogen priming antagonist protocol with follistim, menopur, ganirelex, & ovidrel too was 37 at the time of my cycle...resulted in DS...didn't think I'd have to go the IVF route asi've seen others with lower AMH be successful with IUIs...but the protocol I was on wasn't so bad and gave me a great reward at the end.Good luck! If either of you have questions let me know.
Either way enjoy your vacation!

hey there - we did do the iui yesterday. we are going on vacation tomorrow and so it is good, I ill go without any tests and have no temptation to test. Because of that, we did not do an ultrasound. My positive OPK timed with my monitoring ultrasound (CD12) and he decided not to do it - I am not 100% sure why but since we committed to the iui we just went for it.
This will probably be our only planned iui and we will move to straight to IVF. DH had a good SA but a little bit low on morphology, but not unworkable. The doctor wants to be aggressive and so do I. I am still hopeful that this IUI is it - but I am moving straight to my best chance.

Lurking...
My RE told me to go straight to IVF, too. AMH=0.5; FSH-13. However, we were able to get pregnant through clomid/iui.
Since you had your LO not that long ago, if I were in your shoes (and especially if you are still relatively young), I would be tempted to try more than one IUI.
