Baby's cord fell off yesterday morning, but her belly button has been bleeding a tiny bit since. Is this normal? I've left two messages with her pedi, but no callback yet.
As long as the area isn't oozing, have a foul odor, or the area around the navel isn't red, it's fine.
also a concern would be it if seems to be leaking urine.
We have oozing issues -cord fell off had bloody leakage, stopped after a day or so but then restarted a week later- with our daughter's cord and they sent us for an u/s to check it (was already needing an u/s for her kidneys/bladder). Pedi told us that a cord could remain partially open and cause a tract to the bladder. And was something to look for. Although she said that was very uncommon. Just FYI.

Also good to know! We have an appt Friday so I will be sure to ask. Hope your appt went well..
This is also happening with my LO. Hers fell off the other day, but then some more dried up and fell off today. Now it is slightly bloody, but nothing major. The pediatrician looked at it two days go and said it looked fine. I'm not too worried.
Yea i think it is to have a little blood or dried up blood around her belly button my LO had dried up blood there a few days after hers fell off i just cleaned it away and it was fine!
Oh, yes, it's fine. As long as nothing else is coming out, and it's not smelling, it's all good. Probably got scraped off just a tiny bit early. (VERY common!)
