I just farted in my bosses office while her and I were talking... it was silent and sounded like this ..... pssssssssst
You just made my day! This made me laugh!
DH is having drinks with some folks after work and isn't coming home till 7 p.m. Which means I have to make dinner, while also tending to a baby that is clingy after being at daycare all day and a hyper dog that is ready to play!
I'm thinking he's going to get a text to bring home dinner so I can just play with my sweet girl and crazy dog.

DS1 came down with stomach flu last night and threw up partially on me. I cleaned myself up, but was finally able to take a shower about half an hour ago. It may have been the best shower ever.
DH didn't get a flu shot and I'm ticked about it. He is suspicious of vaccines. Cody and I both got our shots even though we are at low risk of getting the flu. When I get sick, I get it from DH. He is exposed to a ton of university students every day and he always get sick when school starts back up in January. He's going to get us sick and I'm preemptively angry with him about it.
DH kept bugging me about getting my flu shot. (He only got one because his work provides them to employees for free) So one Sunday I said I was going to go to the walk-in clinic and get it done. He then pouted and whined about missing "family time". Yeah he just didn't want to be left alone with DD, who was a fussy, drooling, teething mess.
I asked him when I should go then and he said "Um you have all day evry day to go, it's not like you have a job or anything." Yeah ok, I will totes take a toddler to a walk-in clinic, around a bunch of sick people, so you don't have to stop watching your football game. It will be so easy to hold her with one arm and get a shot in the other.
Moral of the story, I didn't get a flu shot just to spite him. So if I do get sick he can handle DD all by himself! IDGAF!

I really love this board, but sometimes I feel like no one notices when I post or remembers that I ever exist. Somedays it bothers me because I have been around since the beginning. I don't even know why I am saying this because I don't like to cause drama and I hate conflict. Maybe it's just that I have nothing new to say.
If it's any consolation, I feel the same sometimes! And if it's any consolation, I actually remember you from the beginning(or when I joined). Maybe it's that you're one of the more "quiet" ones.
I think everyone feels like this to some extent. But it's silly. We need to give our other 212s more credit - we've all got pretty good memories and most of us don't have pregnancy brain anymore so hopefully we've got a good handle on even our casual posters.
We clearly recognize when someone pops up who doesn't belong and is just looking to start trouble right?

We need to do a Say Anything post more often...we've gone 4 pages and no fighting!!!
And it looks like we're all back to our regular schedules...we went 2 pages today ladies, or so it is on my screen. I have to go to the next page to see the photo contest.
And between my phone ringing off the wall, and you all being so busy on here today, I'VE GOTTEN NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED! Kind of feel like I should stay late and do some work...notice I said "kind of"!
And looking back at all my posts from this thread, I think I've exceeded my daily allowable max of "!".

Psh, we're not fighting because I've decided to be the bigger person re: Taylor Swift.
But yeah, we should do this kind of post more often. So we can get out our sillies without making 1098342 separate posts.
I don't want to do anything more productive for work because this morning was hellacious and I'm just trying to run out the clock now.
In the shower I always wash my hair first. It comes from me always running late and always *needing* to take a shower. I hate feeling disgusting so I always thought that as long as my hair was clean, the run off from the soap I rinsed out of my hair would be enough to clean my body. Haha. Flawed logic, yes, but it helped me get quicker showers when needed.
And with that, I'm off to get a shower.
Sexy!
Girl, you know it! I took the time to shave too and it was glorious. I haven't had smooth legs in a few weeks. Am I still sexy??

I'm in a hotel with my DD, and I'm here for 10 days. Last night was tough getting her down to sleep in an unfamiliar environment in an unfamiliar crib. She was exhausted, and when I got her down she slept from 7:30-2am, but when she got up at 2am, I couldn't get her back down. I ended up co-sleeping with her, but that only half worked. I got her down for an afternoon nap, and I'm sitting beside her while she sleeps because there isn't really anywhere else I can go. I'm hoping she can get used to this for the time that we're here... but it's really hard to get her to sleep in the crib when she can see and hear me. I would hold her and just let her nap in my arms while I watch TV or something, but then I'll never get her in to the crib at night, and neither of us will get any sleep. Hopefully getting her back to her regular schedule albeit in a different location will help!

Why did I sit cross legged on the bed next to DD's crib while she's napping? I've been trying to move to readjust for an hour now, and every time I move she pops her head up and looks at me then puts it back down again. I'm afraid if I move it all the way, she'll just get up completely.
I'm so behind on laundry that when I took a shower yesterday, I used a sheet to dry off. A sheet. I had zero clean towels, which I did not realize until I was getting into the shower because I had to take one of our kitties to the vet. Go me!

This is random, but I've decided I want to have Bronze status by DD's bday. This means I have to post a lot more in 30 days. Part of the issue is that like Jdubb pointed out, the number that's under my avatar is much lower than the number that's on my homepage.
mine is doing the same!

I was able to fit into a smaller size jean today! Two months ago I couldn't even button them. Today they fit- and not even struggle to button them fit- comfortably snug fit.
I haven't lost weight since DS was 6 weeks old & we don't have a scale at home. The last time I weighed myself at Christmas, I still weighed the same, so I hope next time I weigh myself the number is lower!

My husband gets hot in the middle of the night and shoves the covers over to me, but then gets cold and tries to cover himself back up half asleep. This results in him pulling the bottom corner up to cover himself (not sure how) and then he claims I stole the covers from him. He's such a dork. :P

I want a Dachshund. But we already have two Pits and my husband refuses to allow another pet into our tiny rental while we search for a home to buy. I can't blame him and I know I should wait, but I just really want one!

Yay Shawnee! If they fit now, if I were a betting woman, I'd bet you've lost weight.
I just want to see the number get lower and not stay the same because it transferred to gained muscle. My arms are definitely not as flabby toting DS around all the time!
I am still more than 2x the size (if, for example, a size 12 is 2x the size of a size 6) I was when DH & I started dating
Oatmeal Scotchies are my absolute favorite cookies ever, and I'm pretty sure I make the best ones on the planet (thanks to my Grandma's recipe). I dare you to out-cookie me.

DH has a really hairy chest and always sleeps without a shirt, resulting in chest hair all over the bed. I find that shizz everywhere. And he always ends up using my towel even though I've told him a million times not to because I hate drying off after a shower only to end up with chest hairs stuck to me. Our dog sheds less. lol

That's my favorite too, except I don't have a really good recipe. What's your secret?
I'm not sure which part is the secret, but I'll share my recipe and you can give it a go! I always use a metal non stick pan; disposable pans don't cook them correctly. And I take them out when they look ALMOST done cause they'll cook just a smidgen more as they cool and then they're perfect. Good luck!
1 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teas vanilla 1 1/2 cup flour 1 teas baking soda 1 teas salt 3 cup quick oats 1 package butterscotch chips
Cream together Crisco & sugars. Add egg & vanilla. Mix flour, baking soda & salt; mix into already mixed ingredients. Stir in oats and butterscotch chips. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten a little. Cook at 350 for 8-10 mins or until cookies appear almost done-they will set up nice and soft!

I just made a massive chocolate shake with like half a thing of vanilla ice cream after eating a beef and cheddar from Arbys with fries and I feel like I'm bursting at the seams.
That was one long run on sentence but I don't care.
Also, I'm a procrastinator.
And I need to get back to work. I'd much rather sleep. But I've been staring at my homework for about a half hour now... Ugh. Sigh.
Oh yeah, and I brought the blender all the way to the basement to make that shake with out waking LO up.
Thanks mirage, I've never heard of these cookies, but now I want cookies again!!!
The hairy chest...ok, this is gross but I'll share. Since moving in with my mom, my grandmother has moved in, which meant my mom step dad had to move to my end of the house and we're sharing a bathroom. My step dad is really hairy. Every time I take a shower, or give Ian a bath, I have to clean the shower out because there's little hairs EVERYWHERE! I don't know if they're pubes or his other hair but it totally disgusts me either way! So, I'm essentially cleaning the shower twice a day, every day. Ok, now I wanna puke.
