People will say yes, it's a dogs name. Me personally? I love Sadie! A friend of mine named her daughter Sadie Lynn and it fits her well.

I know a Sadie Josephine. I used to think it was a pets name, but she is so darling that now I associate the name with her!

My LO is Sadie and while several people have had pets named Sadie I didn't care! My LO is Sadie Elizabeth. Our second choice was Sadie Madison.

My sister is Sada and now goes by Sada, but went by Sadie most of her youth. I love Sadie and do not thing it is a pet's name at all.

I like it, and I wanted to have it on our list for a DD, but DH thought it was kind of weird since my name is Sarah.

Thanks for the input, ladies!  I really love the name Sadie and I have had a friend named Sadie since kindergarten, so it's not a pet name to us at all.

In all honesty, I think of a dog.

It is a pretty girl's name that a lot of people use for dogs (myself included) so you'll definitely run into people that will say "that's my dog's name", but then again you'll get that with Molly and Maggie as well.  It isn't like you are using Spot or Fido.  As long as you don't mind some people will have dogs named the same thing, I say use it.
