Wondering if there is much difference in heart rate between baby boys and baby girls. DD's were always in the 150s. New Baby Bean's was 164bpm today. Any info ladies?

That's what I've heard too and it rang true with my first!

There is an old wives tale that says there is a difference. But it's not proven, it says heart beat over 140 is a girl under is a boy.

My son's heart rate was always high. This baby's is on the lower side. So we will see!

I know most people don't buy into this OWT, but it held true for both of my kiddos.

No, I was supposed to be a boy based on this OWT and my  husband was supposed to be a girl.

Besides, heartrates change depending on the gestational age. Eventually they steady out but even this OWT doesn't apply to the first trimester when the heartrate continues to rise and rise and then gets lower and finally steadies out. So at the very least, to get an idea if the baby's heartrate is high or low you need to wait until it steadies out.

This.  But I think this early aren't they all a bit higher?

I really have no clue. My sons was always around 135 and my daughters was 160. This baby was 162 at 7 weeks.

With all 3 pregnancies, the HR has been in 160's before 12 weeks.  The first 2 were boys...we'll find out in a couple months what this one is

You can't really go by this. There are studies that say it's not really dependent on the heart rate. I have a friend at work and her baby's heart rate was in the 170's and it was a boy.
