Cloth Diapering

two in CD's ?

When we switched to CD's, I knew there was no way I could convince DH to pay $40 for a PW hanging wetbag on top of a full stash all at once. So, we've been laying them on top of the abandoned diaper genie. Finally he is as fed up with this "solution" as I am. I would just buy a wetbag or two, hang it on the back of DD's door and be done with it ... except LO #2 is due in July. DD will only be 16 mos.

I'm considering a couple options:

1. A wetbag for DD's room, and one for our room where LO #2 will be.

2. One wetbag for the bathroom, move changing station to bathroom.

Do either of these (or something I haven't thought of) seem like they'll work for a toddler and a NB?

17$ Is this what you are looking for? This is what I ordered and I can't wait to get it. I am throwing CD's in an old hamper right now until tomorrow when it gets here in the mail.

  • I have two wet bags already, and while it works for having one baby, I think I'm going to go with pail liners for having two of them. I'm still going to keep a wet bag in the bathroom for the rinsed poop diapers, and I'll make the nursery the one-stop changing station for both of them, and get a pail. I don't think a wet bag is going to hold enough diapers for a newborn and a toddler. Also, I like having a backup wet bag for each station it's at, because I like to have one to use while the other is washing/drying.

  • I have a pail with a liner. That might be another option.

I probably should've mentioned that my HE FL can only really clean 12-16 OS dipes. So I was planning to wash every 1-2 days when LO #2 arrives. Would a large wetbag still be too small?

I'm leaning towards a hanging wetbag if it's doable. If not, I'll have to find a Canadian online retailer that sells pail liners. My two local CD stores do not.

  • We have a step lid trash can in our guest bathroom and 2 Rumparooz pail liners. We change diapers in DS's room, then just toss the dirty diaper in the trash can w/pail liner. I have the extra pail liner for when the first one is being washed with diapers.

Oh okay I didn't realize you were in Canada.

I have the large planet wise hanging wet/dry bags andI think they'd be fine for what you need.  i usually only get one days worth in mine, so about 16 diapers, bjt i could probably fit more if i crammed them in.  Like you say, though, thats about a load anyway.  You will want two of whatever you get, though, so you have one to use while the other's in the wash.

No, a wet bag would be fine, then. My large planet wise holds quite a bit more than that. It sounds likes you're going to be doing a LOT of laundry, though!

  • I am a bit late to this post but you can find pail liners from either of these two retailers. They are both local for me I live north of Toronto. They both have online shops as well. Sorry I don't know how to make this clic ky from my phone.
