the chickenpox has pretty much ruined breastfeeding for me this time around. I need to take stronger antihistamines and I cant BF with them and pumping and dump for weeks to keep up my supply just isn't something I can do right now. SO I made the switch to formula a few days ago and I can say we are all a little happier around here. K didn't get switched to formula until she was around 6 months and we used Similic and then went to Target brand for savings and I used our grocery store brand when I found it on sale.

I am wondering if this time around in an effort to save more $$ if I should look into Amazon or Costco or something. I was wondering those who used Formula where you had the best luck at. I will try to use checks when I get them but I don't have the time to go crazy couponing this time lol

Also I feel like I am having a brain fart with this all but I can switch between brands and he shouldn't have tummy issues as long as its the same "kind" of formula (regular, soy etc) right??

I think because the ingredients in different brands of formula vary, it is possible to upset LOs tummy if they are prone to tummy issues. I switched brands twice with hazel and she didn't have any issues.

You might be able to do subscribe and save with amazon if you are a prime member. I liked their subscribe and save deals on diapers and wipes when I had the free trial.

I tried to switch H to Target brand (= to Similac Advance which is what she started on) but it made her constipated.  We're still on Similac, but I have the can of Target brand that I want to start trying again now that she's a little older.  I know a lot of people use the Costco/Sam's versions with no problems either.  I think if the formula is the same kind, you can switch with minimal problems.  But I know with R, I switched to Similac Sensitive (from Advance, same brand) and did a half & half combo for a while to get him used to it.  Maybe worth a try to ease him into the transition if you're going from "brand name" to "generic".  GL!

We've been FF from the beginning. Porter seems to have a more sensitive tummy than DD did. I started on Similac Advance then went to sensitive. Tried the soy but I real difference so we'll stick with sensitive. I have tried Kirkland and he does ok. I do know on Costco.com your can order a 3pack of cans shipped to your door for like $55.

Switching formulas can be rough - we did it a few times with Griffin and I remember some of them made him extremely gassy and uncomfortable. We got the best pricing on formula from Amazon Subscribe & Save, I believe. But we used Earth's Best, which can be a little pricey. I am sorry about your chicken pox - I must have missed that post - what a mess! Hope you are feeling better soon.

When we switched, we went with Enfamil. We used all the coupons we had, but then we find the cheapest consistent prices was at Sam's --I mean way cheaper than anywhere else. 

 Also, diapers & baby food were cheaper there. The savings more than paid for our membership.
