Zyrtec

Anyone taking an occasional antihistamine? My ENT suggested it because I'm having extreme trouble breathing between the pregnancy rhinitis and my deviated septum. Said it may help...

Re: Zyrtec

  • Yes. I take Zyrtec every day for allergies and asthma. It's safe and really works!

  • You ladies are awesome. Thanks for posting!!!
  • Apparently pregnancy causes allergies in my crazy little head so I asked my doctor about this today and couldn't remember which I could take. Thank you for posting. Now I need to go to the drug store if I can remember how to work the car (stupid pregnancy brain)

  • I take Zyrtec every day and did through my last pregnancy too. Totally fine, totally worth it.

ETA: Also took it daily through 14 months of nursing.

  • Claritan is my friend. Got to love the antihistamines :

  • I take it every night. If I miss more than a day or two, I end up with an ear infection or sinus infection.

Last pregnancy, I quit cold turkey and by the time I tried to start again my immune system was such a mess and I was having so much trouble breathing that I ended up in the er.
