Our 5 year old dog suddenly started "marking" in the house. It started around Christmas and he marked the tree right in front of me. I'm going to take him to the vet to rule out a UTI but I don't think that's what it is. He seems to do it when we are gone, like he is punishing us.

Anyway my question is, I bought the Natures miracle enzyme cleaner and it seems to help with the spots I can find. Any ideas if there are any cleaners I can put in the steam cleaner that will get rid of the smell? Or should I hire someone to come in and steam clean?

Also, any ideas how to get him to stop? I don't know how if I can't catch him in the act.

Vinegar will help with the smell.

We use the spot bot pet.  Our dog tends to vomit from eating too much grass so I am not sure how it works on urine, but with bile it does a great job.
