New to board

Hello there.  I have been lurking on the board for a few months now and thought it was time to introduce myself.  

I am a stay at home mom to my 2 year old son and 3 month old daughter.  My sons pediatrician just let us know that she believes my son is autistic, so we are in the process of getting an appointment with a development pediatrician. He is already in Early Intervention for speech and OT.  He was involved in EI Physical therapy as a baby for low muscle tone, which he still has.  He seems to have a high sensory threshold and is sensory seeking.  He is also a very picky eater with a low appetite.  

 

Anyway...  Just wanted to say hello.  I have really appreciated being able to read your posts and look forward to some comradery and support.

Hello and welcome! DD also started with speech delays and we just got our ASD dx. She is also sensory seeking. This is a great board.

Welcome! Your son sounds like my daughter. She also has low tone, a sensory seeker who is a picky eater with a low appetite. We're also waiting for an eval at our local neurodevelopmental center for potential autism and in the meantime we are doing speech/OT.

Welcome, My son has sensory processing disorder but doesn't fall on autism spectrum, also with speech delay.  Has weekly OT/ST.  He sees developmental peds every 3 months.  This is a great board with lots of good advice.
