Dumb Siggy WTH?

I have tried updating my siggy 5,000 times.  Is there something going on with the site?  Any secret tactics I should be using?

The one thing we've found that works is to carpet bomb it with 'saves'. Go in, make your changes to your code and hit save. Then hit save 10 more times. Then go check your siggy. If it changed, great. If it didn't go back and hit save 10-15 more times. The changes you made to the code will still be there, so all you have to do is just keep hitting save.

Bump gods are aware of this, they just don't seem to be putting a priority on it. 

I've been trying that but I only hit save about 5 times so maybe I need to up the save hits.  Thanks:)
