Maybe ds is over stimulated by me? He gets up and nurses all.night.long. his longest stretch is 2 hours. If I put him further away from me do you think it won't be so tempting to nurse all night? At this point, I can't keep doing this 10 times a night thing. I'm exhausted. He from waking once, then 3 times, then 5 or 6, back to 3 times, now we're at 10.

If moving him doesn't work, I don't really know what else to do.

FWIW, I do not nurse to sleep at bedtime or naps. I SAH, so he's not waking because he misses me and needs boob time.

So, do you think he may be over stimulated by my boobs being right there in his face?

yeah, 4 month wakeful. That's when I started bedsharing, out of desperation. I'd rather nurse a million times/night in bed than keep getting up. zzzzzzzz......

They go through a big growth spurt around this time too, so he may really need the extra nutrition.  

I don't really know what to say to help you, other than that it will probably pass pretty soon.

I do agree with the PP that it is much easier to nurse in bed than to have to get up and down to soothe or nurse the baby.

I feel foolish for posting this because last night he went back to 2 or 3 wakings. Apparently, he was working on a big milestone! He can sit unsupported now!

We're making our way out of the wakeful period. It lasted for about a month.

 aw, don't feel foolish... so many times I've gone online to research something, only to have that something completely disappear the very next day!
