Not at all BSR, but how AWish can people get?

For mobile: Not at all BSR, but how AWish can people get?

This is just a general vent, but my BMB is way too nice for me to have any fun there with this one...

Okay, seriouslyforreal, why do people think it is okay to put stuff on Facebook about how many centimeters dilated they are? And is it weird that I think that's even worse when they aren't in L&D, just walking out of a regular 37w check-up?

Gah. Un-friend.

Please tell me others have found their friends to be chronic, compulsive over-sharers? Because I am beginning to fear that one day I'll log on and see what color everyone's pee is.

  • I think it's a sign of the times.  Facebook, Twitter, reality TV....we have gotten so out of control with how self important everyone thinks they are.

I agree 100%-- it's totally distasteful.  My first pregnancy "announcement" on facebook was the day my daughter was born, and the only reason I did it was because I thought it would be less jarring than simply posting a pic of a newborn baby.

  • One of my FB friends posted the photo they took of her baby literally being pulled out from her tummy during her c-section. Baby is 1/2 in, 1/2 out and you get to see all of mom's cut up belly...

I get that birth is a beautiful thing, but I do not need to see other people's personal birth photos.

  • Way too much over share from some of y friends. Not sure if its partly because of pregnancy hormones but I have deleted nearly half of my friends from way to much over share or just over all self absorbed annoying posts. One girls gives us the run down of every pregnancy symptom she is having including her constipation and when her nipples started leaking. Seriously, I haven't seen you since college why would I care about that crap!? I don't mind the picture over share when LO are growing up, especially because alot of us are friends with distant families, but I really could care less about most people's pregnacy symptoms, what they had for lunch an what time they are going I bed.

  • Thank god I don't seem to have friends like that. But then I only have people on my FB that I would talk to on the phone.

I would be tempted to ask some really offensive question as a response. Something that is obviously a joke and would hopefully make her rethink those kinds of posts. But I usually just put things out there.

  • That's why I don't have FB... I don't care that much about my own overshare things, I certainly don't care about someone elses.

FB is for oversharing these days lol. I can't stand it most of the time.

One of the best pix of DS was right after he was born, you can see his face SO well, but he is still a little blue and has the goop on him a little so I didn't share it on FB. No one wants to see that except maybe my sister and the grandparents.

  • I have a friend that posted daily for over a week, details about her newborns BMs. That's what I want to see when I check FB over breakfast. Ick!
