Eczema cream safe?

We have triamcinolone. Is it CD safe? We need to use it on this nasty stubborn rash...the doc is almost positive it's her eczema. We are putting it on twice a day. It doesn't hold moisture, so we need other creams to keep her moisturized which I was going to keep using our magic stick or cj's butter.  I was hoping it's ok to use with CD's. We don't have any disposables so I'm letting her lie naked on the floor right now while the cream absorbs. It only takes about 15 minutes to completely absorb. What do you think?

  • I haven't had any problems with it, but I also haven't used it for more than a couple of days at a time in the diaper area.

Thanks. I'm hoping it will work...her doc said it is either her eczema which makes sense because I looked at the rest of her body today and I feel like the worst mom ever...she has spots all over...just obviously not as bad as in her diaper area. Hopefully we can kick it quickly.

  • Don't feel bad. DS had eczema on his noggin for the longest time, and we finally got it cleared up. When it showed up in the creases of his legs, I couldn't figure out what it was. We treated for everything from diaper rash to yeast, switched detergents, and stripped the CDs 2x (once with hot water and once with bleach). When we finally had our 6 month appointment the pedi noticed it immediately and said, "That's just eczema." Argh! (Honestly, I think it might have been yeast before that b/c I've never seen eczema bleed like this did at the slighted touch, and then after treating for yeast, the spots had almost completely healed by the time of the appt. But I am not a doc, so what do I know?) Anyway, good luck!
