Baby Names

Future Baby - ending in n's

So I was thinking of baby names with DH as we are TTC, and mentioned Evan, which I have like lately even though popular. I have also always like Owen before I knew it was popular. The middle name I am thinking of is Harlen - DH's father figure.  We have 3 syllable last name ending in son (Anderson used as example). So if I did those names every name ends with a n.  Would it work or should I move on to different names--popularity not to be taken into consideration in case I find a different n ending name I like.

So. . . Evan Harlen Anderson or Owen Harlen Anderson -- Will it work?

I think those names flow quite well. I wouldn't worry about the repeating N sound.

    Agreed!

  • Slightly sing songy, but I'd keep them, the only Evan I know is an Evan Anderson, his twin is Graham.

  • I think Evan is the loveliest of the two.

  • It's all too rhyme-y for me.  But I think Evan is a great name.

  • I like Evan better as well.  And I don't think it matters the similar "n" endings between the middle and last name.

  • I think it's fine. I'd pick Evan over Owen.

  • I like both Owen and Evan.  I wouldn't worry about all 3 names ending in the letter n since you don't often refer to your kids by all 3 names.  Evan Anderson or Owen Anderson sound great.
